Background

LeveeLift was started in 1954 by Bob Lambert. Bob dealt mainly with Nissan products, which were referred to as Datsun then. Bob never imagined that LeveeLift would become the oldest Nissan dealer in the country. David Lambert, Bob's son, took over as the President of the company in 1977 at the age of 23. With David's leadership, LeveeLift, which started as 1 store with 16 employees, has rapidly grown to 5 stores with over 190 employees today. LeveeLift has also dramatically diversified its product line and services over this period of time. Where the initial focus had been only on forklifts, aerial lifts and multiple brands such as Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Taylor, and Skyjack were added to LeveeLift's product mix. In 2000, LeveeLift Inc. was purchased by Pon North America, a Dutch holdings company. This acquisition has helped LeveeLift grow into one of the premier material handling suppliers.



Bob Schermer assumed the role of president in January 2007 upon David Lambert’s retirement. In 1987 Bob joined LeveeLift as its General Manager/Sales Manager for the Louisville branch. In 2004 he became the General Manager for Louisville, Bowling Green and Hopkinsville in addition to being the Sales Manager for the entire company. In 2006 Bob advanced to the Vice President level, and today he is our new president
